Canon PIXMA iP7250 Colour Inkjet Printer Reviews

Customer review:
I bought this printer because the print head on my IP4700 failed and replacement of the head would be more expensive than replacing the printer. I don't need a multi-function device and main use is for photo printing, with occasional documents and envelopes. I'd read a few reviews of the IP7250, which concentrated on printing costs and made little real mention of print quality. It didn't help that reviews on Amazon started well, but more recently were low, dragging the average score down to 2 stars. As these seem to be related to specific issues with individual reviewers (for example, faulty units and high ink usage) I chose to go with Canon's past reputation and order the IP7250. Two days after ordering the printer arrived, despite being the 3 - 5 day free service so I started off impressed! Unpacking the printer was easy enough, with all of the tapes which need removing being easily accessible and the ink cartridges were easy to install. On first power up the printer initialised the print head, then a supplied thick paper sheet has to be placed into the printer to allow the head to be aligned automatically. All this took around ten minutes. The driver and associated utilities took an additional 5 minutes to install via USB connection on Windows 8. I later tried the wireless setup and this also was simple, with the wireless link being reliable so far. The paper supply mechanism has changed since I bought my IP4700; there is no longer a lift up lid to feed in paper which doesn't fit the main tray; instead there are two fully enclosed trays provided - one can take 125 A4 (or smaller) sheets of standard paper and the other tray 20 6x4 or 7x5 sheets of photo paper. Dymo LetraTag LT-100H Plus Label maker Reviews

Customer review:
Had the use of a much earlier version many years ago. Liked it then and this version is a definite improvement. Choice of font size etc. Tapes are easy to load and production of labels is quick and efficient. This is used in a home environment, so is not under the pressure of a machine in a busy office. It was a treat to myself and I am very happy with it.

HP Deskjet 2540 All-In-One Printer Reviews

Customer review:
The HP Deskjet 2540 is a small, easy-to-use printer that works fine for occasional users, like me. It is a three-in-one color inkjet printer, and is a wireless printer. The price is right and should fit into most household budgets. The big point for me is that it allows me to print from mobile devices using ePrint and AirPrint. So, I can print from my iPhone and/or iPad. The screen on the button panel on the left side of the machine shows two numbers. This panel makes tasks easier, I can print from my smartphone via ePrint. I press the "wireless" button and it's ready to go. All of the wireless functions are very easy. There's a printable "how-to" page that gives a step-by-step explanation of how to print remotely. Find the 2540 All-in-One's wireless network on your smartphone or tablet, enter the password and hit print. With the HP ePrint app installed on my iPad, the Deskjet 2540 automatically found photos or files, emails, and cloud services. Once you have your file, you just hit "print". The cartridges are in the front and come right out, they're easy to remove and replace. The printer is slow, but that is fine for my printing needs. The scanner makes a fan noise every time you scan a document, but it's easy to use and includes a number of settings, such as resolution and size, depending on what type of document you're scanning. The brightness and contrast are adjustable, and you can rotate and crop. For the money, this is an excellent printer for occasional family use. If you have a business or print a lot, look for another model. Recommended. prisrob 11-27-13

Texet A3 Laminator Reviews

Customer review:
I chose this one because (a) it takes nice thick 250 micron(2 x 125) pouches (b) it does A3 right down to business card size and (c) the price was fantastic (it was not much more than the cheapest A4 laminator!) It arrived in 3 days and it was well but not overly packaged, which was excellent. The seller also sent me an email, advising me what date and time the delivery would take place, which was also excellent. And never having used a laminator before in my life, I opened the box, read the instructions and successfully laminated several A6 documents in no time at all!!! And each one came out perfectly smooth and even :-) I also found that you could feed 2 x A6 pouches into it at the same time, which obviously halves the time taken to laminate them :-) And although I didn't notice it in the technical details or description, the one I received definitely does hot AND cold laminating! Apparently, you have to use specific "cold laminating pouches" for cold laminating. But as I had already purchased some 250 micron "hot" ones, I will just use the hot lamination for now... but it's still nice that the option is there in case I ever want to cold laminate a delicate object. Added 26 December 2013: It appears that I was just exceptionally lucky to have received the Texet A3 hot and cold laminator model LMA3R-V A3 and that this is actually listed as model number LMA3, which is just a hot laminator NOT a hot and cold one.

Sony ICDPX333.CE7 4GB PX Series MP3 Digital Voice IC Recorder Reviews

Customer review:
For such a small device and a reasonable price this little SONY Dictation unit certainly delivers in quality and features. I was a little worried at first as taking it out of the box the unit is very light weight, a little more substantial when the batteries are in. In use I found it intuitive to use and ergonomically designed with good sized buttons, if you do come undone there is no shortage of paper instructions in almost every language you can think of. This unit comes complete with a 4GB memory which provides up to 1073 hours recoding with a 96 hour battery life. If all that recording isn't enough for you there is a micro SD slot to add more memory or you can quite simply connect to your PC with the USB cable provided and download all your recordings (I found this simple to do on my windows 8 laptop). The playback of recordings is crystal clear through the built in speaker or just as good if you plug in some headphones. The noise cut feature does work and it does cut out a lot of the background noise. Not listed on the Amazon page but I did find it really useful the amount of built in track editing features that allow you to organise, edit the length of a recording to just the bit you need, folder away.....etc. Track Mark - Yes Erase - Yes Protect - Yes Divide - Yes Move File - Yes File Copy - Yes A product I would have no hesitation in recommending.

HP Envy 4500 e-All-In-One Printer Reviews

Customer review:
Nice compact design without bits sticking out so suitable where space confined. Easy to install from printer display screen instructions with supplied cd or online. I did both - online for our pc and from disk for laptop. Dialysis screen small but clear typeface easy to read. Allow enough time to customise installation if you do not want to install all the bloat ware, games & for registration which took an age. Printer response time good but scanner noisey/slow in operation but quality good. Quaity of prints good. Have tested all basic functions but not tried printing photo's yet. Easy to access innards and install cartridges from large flip up lid under document bed which is important for those of us who are 50+ with dodgy hands. So far so good and happy with my purchase.
